The tour leads on a paved road through the green Vallone del Preit, to the edge of the broad Gardetta plateau and back on the same way. A short, enjoyable tour on seldom used roads.

Tour 2: Colle d’Esischie (2,376 m) – Valle Grana – Valle Maira

This panoramic round tour is a classic of the region. It can be done in either direction.

Tour 3: Colle d’Esischie (2,376 m) – Valle Stura – Valle Maira

Panoramic round tour. A variation of Tour 2, during which we stay up on the pass longer, rewarded with beautiful views. It can be done in either direction.

Tour 4: Colle d’Esischie (2,376 m) – Valle Grana – Valle Stura

Panoramic round tour on which you return from the opposite side onto the Colle d’ Esischie and thus you have to do more altitudinal meters than on Tour 1 and 2. This is a wonderful, yet challenging tour.

Tour 5: Valle Maira – Chiappera (1,614 m)

On this tour, we reach on the SP 422 the very back part of the Maira Valley with the freestanding rock needle „La Rocca Provenzale“. This tour is only slightly strenuous and the landscape is very impressive. We return on the same way.

Tour 6: Vallone di Elva – Elva (1,960 m) – Stroppo – Valle Maira

Ascend via the rocky Elva gorge. You will be rewarded with beautiful views onto the southern Alps. A diversified round tour, which can be done in either direction.

Tour 7: Colle di Sampeyre (2284 m) – Valle Varaita

This is an impressive round tour through the rocky Elva gorge, over the mountain ridge into the neighbouring Varaita Valley and back again through the Maira Valley. Can be done in either direction.

Tour 8: Ussolo e S. Michele

This tour leads us on small, winding roads to two nearly empty villages on the sunny side of the Maira Valley. Alternatively you can take also only one of the two mountain roads.

Tour 9: S. Margherita – Castellano – Palent

This diversified tour leads us on three different mountain roads each time from the valley bottom to abandoned villages on the south side of the Maira Valley. Alternativly you can also visit each village separatly.

Tour 10: Long circuit pass crossing tour (Italy/France) 2-3 days

This „super tour“ includes all of the most beautiful passes of the region: Colle Sampeyre(2284m), Colle dell’Agnello(2748m), Col de Vars (2111m), Colle della Maddalena(1996m), Colle Valcavera(2416m), Colle dei Morti(2480m) and Colle d’Esischie(2376m). (230 km, 6500 altitude difference)
